The custom loader and mod loader are not the same but work in similar ways. The mod loader instruction guide will remain for preservation purposes and as a fallback, the mod loader itself is not maintained or associated with this site.

Installation

  1. Download the Mod Loader -> you will need to to search among the community for it.

  2. Locate and backup the original 9e13b2414b41b842 file in the folder named contents by making a copy elsewhere

  3. Choose the Steam or GoG mod loader zip file
    • Copy, move, or extract the folders and file named contents mods mod_loader into the root folder of Gauntlet
      • Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gauntlet
      • GoG: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games
  4. Start the game if you see the developer console mods are active.

Uninstallation

  1. Steam -> Installed Files -> Verify integrity of game files or restore it from a backup.
    • Delete mod_loader file and mods folder
  2. GoG -> Installed -> Manage Installation -> Verify / Repair
    • Delete mod_loader file and mods folder
